Bike Arvin

Bike Arvin is currently looking for a new location and is closed until we find a new home.

Come fix up your bike, purchase a bike or scooter, or volunteer with us!

Hours: Tuesday through Friday 2-8 p.m.

Bike Arvin opened in 2013 and has been a focal point in the Arvin community. Bike Arvin is our second bike kitchen with a goal to engage and encourage the Arvin youth to become local advocates for their city and make Arvin a more bike-friendly community. We are a community resource and hub for bicycle repair, offering our flagship program Recycle-A-Bike. We operate a full-service repair shop, with a staff of talented mechanics who are experienced in refurbishing a wide array of bicycles.

Our friendly and professional mechanics can help you learn how to get on your bicycle and do all the basic repairs to keep your bicycle riding efficiently.

We offer bicycles and scooters to fit any budget and an assortment of new accessories so you can feel safe and comfortable while you are pedaling around. We have the best selection of refurbished bicycles, as-is bikes, and used parts in town.

Interested in working on your own bicycle? We lend out tools for use on-site, free of charge to members of Bike Bakersfield; all you need is proof of membership.

We offer bike stands, air pumps, tools, and a helping hand to help get you going again.

Come volunteer for 10 hours during our business hours at the bike kitchen, and you will earn a used bike through our recycle-a-bike program, made possible by the Dolores Huerta Foundation. Almost all of the bikes available for our volunteer program have been generously acquired and stored by the Dolores Huerta Foundation, and we are so grateful that they have made this program possible in Arvin.
