ENTER TO WIN A LENGTHWISE GIFT CERTIFICATE!

Bike Bakersfield will be hosting a bicycle swap meet as part of Bike Month on Saturday, May 6, starting at 2pm at the Lengthwise on District Blvd. No charge to be a seller or a buyer, come out and clear your garage or score some cheap used parts. May is Bike Month and it’s the time to get your bike(s) ready to ride!

At 3pm we will be treated to an interactive presentation on the Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy for Kern County. Sounds boring right? WRONG! This is your opportunity to see what’s being planned for the next 30 years in Kern County as far as transportation and development. Your opinion matters! As cyclists this will be a very important opportunity to have our voices heard with respect to future transportation projects in the county.

Everyone that attends the presentation at the bike swap will get a raffle ticket and a chance to win one of three $25 gift certificates. What a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

    Beach Park
Beach Park Loop, Bakersfield, CA, United States

Date: Tuesday, May 9th, 8:00 PM

    Location: Beach Park

About: Join us for a family-friendly, all-ages cruise starting at Beach Park and following the bike path to the Marketplace. The ride is finished once the group reaches the Marketplace, so make sure you have a plan to get back to where you started! Some like to park at the Marketplace and ride to Beach Park prior to the start of the ride so they may enjoy the rest of the evening without having to ride back.

FYI: California Vehicle Code requires bicyclists under age 18 to wear a helmet. The vehicle code also requires bicycles to have a front facing headlamp and at least a red rear facing reflector when being ridden at night. Its not only the law, but a great way to keep yourself safe!
