Grease, Gears & Girls was such a success we were a little pinched for space with all the participants! We learned, laughed and had a great time on bikes.
The event was held on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. at our Bike Bakersfield bike kitchen on 1708 Chester Ave.
We are seeking to create a space for women to feel comfortable learning about bikes, and are thrilled to see so many people taking this opportunity.
Eyewitness News KBAK, ABC23 and the Bakersfield Californian all came to report on the fun. The Californian took some incredible photos. Their gallery can be viewed here.
We appreciate all of the support and friendly faces that came. With the enormous success, we will be hosting more maintenance classes to accommodate the participants. More details will be coming about future events!
