We are pleased to announce Project Light Up The Night on Nov. 1, 8, 15, 21 and 29 from 6-8 p.m. each day. We will be giving away free bike lights, helmets and safety education on each date at 2 or 3 locations. Locations will be announced shortly before the event.
Project Light Up The Night is our annual program to deliver sets of free bicycle lights and helmets in parts of our community where bicycles are used the most. With the sun setting early this time of year it is important that bicycles be visible on the roadway. Being visible is a key part of staying safe while riding a bicycle on the road, and these bright LED lights will let the cars know you’re there.
This event is thanks to the generous support from Chain Cohn Stiles, Kern Family Health Care, and the hard work of our staff and volunteers. Thank you.
Please note that only one set of lights will be given per person and your bicycle must be present to receive lights. Limited helmets are available. For more information, please reply to this email.
