Michael Andrew Parra is a political operative and storyteller with a passion for organizing grassroots initiatives and advocating for progressive ideals. When he’s not working on political causes, Michael is a content creator, sharing his insights on pop culture and music events across the country.
Jeff "Jay-Bird" Vigil

Jay Bird has been a part of Bike Bakersfield since June 2020, when we reopened after the first coronavirus lockdown. Prior to Bike Bakersfield, Jay-Bird worked in the logging industry, construction, and is an experienced mechanic despite not working with bicycles specifically. Since he’s been at Bike Bakersfield, he’s been picking up any and everything possible, even dabbling in wheel truing and hydraulic disc brakes. Today, he’s an avid commuter and cyclist, riding a 29″ 10-speed mountain bike that he built and refurbished in the shop.
